Tolhouse Gaol

The Tolhouse Gaol served Great Yarmouth for around 700 years.  The building has been used as a prison, courtroom, police station and council chamber before it's closure in 1882. The Tolhouse was rebuilt in 1960 after sustainable bomb damage during WW2.

The building has a fascinating history with tales of links to pirates, smugglers and even witches.

Its brutal history only add to the Paranormal events that have been reported from this location.  It's dark, eerie past hits you as soon as you enter, with the cells being the most oppressive area.
